Most laboratory tests can be performed in our in-house laboratory, but some special tests may be sent to a larger facility. When this happens you should expect to receive a separate bill from the specialty laboratory.
Our in-house laboratory is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Laboratory tests cannot be performed without a requisition form completed by your doctor. If you think you need laboratory tests performed, but you don’t have a requisition form, please call your doctor’s nurse.
Your doctor reviews all laboratory tests results before they are filed in your chart. Ordinarily you will be notified of normal results by phone within 7 days. Your doctor will report abnormal results or reports on special procedures or biopsies as soon as they are available.
If you have not heard from us within two weeks, please call our office.
