About Kersten Bailey
Kersten, DNP, ARNP is originally from Sacramento, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In her senior year at the U of M, she studied abroad in Dakar, Senegal, which included time at a community health care center that focused on improving health outcomes through literacy programs - and combined Kersten's two main passions in life: health promotion and language. Kersten later attended Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued on to complete her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Family Medicine with a focus on Palliative Care. For 15 years, Kersten worked at the U of M hospital in the Emergency Department and Float Pool with a focus on Cardiology nursing and being an expert generalist. After many holidays and summers visiting the Pacific Northwest, she recently moved to Vancouver, WA to be closer to family.
Kersten said, "I love supporting my patients and empowering them through all walks of life. I see myself as a partner in their healthcare journey. I especially enjoy building relationships and working with patients to establish their healthcare goals."
In her spare time, Kersten enjoys traveling, hiking, making progress on her long reading list, cooking heart-healthy food, playing Pokemon Go, and trying to improve her bowling game with the family. She is very excited to be a part of Hudson's Bay Medical Group and is proud to work with such a fantastic team.
