Important Information Regarding Our Changing Medicare Policy for 2018
Beginning in 2018, Hudson’s Bay Medical Group will be closing our practice to traditional Medicare and supplement plans*. However, we are committed to our Medicare patients and will continue providing care for patients enrolled in one of our contracted Medicare Advantage plans. Hudson’s Bay Medical Group will accept the following Medicare Advantage plans for 2018:
- Health Net (MA-PPO1)
- Humana (MA-HMO2, MA-PPO)
- Providence (MA-HMO, MA-HMO-POS3, MA-PPO)
- Regence Med Advantage (MA-HMO, MA-PPO)
- United Healthcare/AARP Medicare Complete (MA-HMO)
*For patients with an employer-provided Medicare group plan, we will courtesy bill your insurer for 2018; however we strongly encourage all Medicare patients to research and select one of our accepted Medicare Advantage plans.

Medicare Patient Counseling
If you are a patient with a Medicare supplement or Traditional Medicare only, Hudson’s Bay Medical Group requests that you schedule a private insurance counseling appointment to learn more about our changing Medicare policy, receive answers to Medicare questions, and to compare our accepted Medicare Advantage plans. Hudson’s Bay Medical Group has enlisted the services of, two independent insurance agencies, to meet with patients by appointment here in our building at 100 E 33rd St in Vancouver or at their offices. These agents provide unbiased plan comparisons and they will help you select a plan that best meets your specific healthcare needs, preferences and budget. They also keep us informed so we can update our records regarding your Medicare insurance decisions.
